2026 Docents 'Snapshot' Tour

Description

Volunteers lead adult and school tours throughout the Museum. Must be part of the MOAS Docent program to register for these shifts, which includes on-site training and at home study sessions. Skills needed include public speaking, the ability to retain information, and the self-motivation to learn and research education topics. Perfect spot for those who are open to continued learning, like public speaking and love sharing information about art, science and history.


Opportunity Overview

A tour guide will be available in the main MOAS building during scheduled shift times to host quick snapshot tours scheduled by the guest during their visit to the museum. Guests will be able to sign up at the lobby check-in during promoted days/times.

  • Shift Times: Daily shift times are scheduled in 2-hour blocks. 
  • General: Guests will be able to sign up for quick 15-minute Snapshot Tours, specific to one area/exhibit, following the Highlights Tour guidelines during scheduled docent shifts.
  • Schedule: 
    • Every Tuesday between 1:00-3:00 p.m.
    • 3 Docents available on 'Free Tuesdays'
    • 2 Docents available on all other Tuesdays
