We are celebrating SlothTober all month long. Come visit our boney prehistoric pal, the EremotheriumLaurilardi (A.K.A. Giant Ground Sloth). Weighing 3-5 tons and standing at 13-feet tall, this mammal once roamed the area over 130,000 years ago. Did you know, the fossil remains were discovered just a mere 3.3 miles away? Unearthed from the bottom of a retention pond in the Reed Canal Park, October of 1975.
